Cliff Palace of Mesa Verde
The family and I took a great day trip to Mesa Verde National Park on Saturday to take advantage of free admission for Public Lands Appreciation day. The weather was perfect and the crowds did not seem to be too bad, but I have no previous experience to gauge that from. This was the first time I have visited the park and now I can't wait to return. We only scratched the surface of the park and much more awaits.

With the Rains Come Mushrooms
A type of Inky Cap (Coprinoid) has been taking advantage of all the recent moisture available and several of them have been popping up in my yard lately.

Vallecito Lake during the rain
Here's a shot I took at Vallecito Lake while a large rainstorm was bearing down on us. My window washing crew and I were up there doing some work and we got lucky in finishing the job before the drops started dropping.

Storms over the Mountains
There have been some spectacular thunderstorms over the mountains this month. All the extra water is helping keep the wildfires away. Let's hope it continues.
